BMW (Dick Lovett) Motorbike showroom in Swindon – Motorrad
CLIENT / CONTRACTOR:
DICK LOVETT / SQUARE ONE CONSTRUCTION
VALUE:
£160,000.00
Extension of the existing Dick Lovett BMW Bike showroom in Swindon that RCB had already built on behalf of Square One Construction back in 2012. On both the existing building and the new extension we used Kingspan standard KS1000RW, in Merlin Grey on the roof and Black on the walls, together with Marley Eternit Cedral Click Waetherboard and Thomas Panels and Profiles Single skin cladding on the soffit areas. We feel this simple design looks striking against the green landscape backdrop. We also installed a SOTER mansafe system to the roof area for future maintenance.
We extended the Farmhouse Building on the same site, again with Kingspan but this time with their KS1000ZIP panels, in plain stucco on the roof and Kingspan benchmark system to the wall areas. The walls were rendered (by others).
The existing roof required replacing and the plan was to try and retain the existing tiles but unfortunately, due to age and fragility this was not achievable. However, we managed to match as close as possible by using Marley Melodie Pantile Natural Red on the main roof and Marley Acme Single Camber Plain Tile to the porch.
Gallery shows: Original Building Built in 2012, Extension Building Built in 2019, Farmhouse – Existing Building, Farmhouse with modern extension and both the Motorrad and Farmhouse extension together.
