Birdham Business Park

CLIENT / CONTRACTOR:
Birdham Business Park - Chichester
VALUE:
Approximate Value: £100,000.00

Recently completed project direct for the owners of the property of a complete roof overlay of the existing old and tired but structurally sound roof.

The existing roof was fully insulated and overlaid using Thomas Panels and Profiles 1000/32 0.7 in Goosewing Grey with rooflights, and new Fatra membrane lined gutters.

Luckily, we were able to carry out this work during the Covid-19 lockdown as we did not need to access inside the properties. Overlays enable tenants to carry on working without any disruption to their business.

Approximate Value: £100,000.00
Client – Private Owners.

Dunsfold Park, Cranleigh

CLIENT / CONTRACTOR:
Brymor Construction
VALUE:
£900,000

This project was used in a Kingspan case study.
2017_Kingspan_Trapezoidal_RW_Roof_DLTR_Longspan_MR_Dunsfold_Park_UK (002)
Dunsfold Park, a former WWII Canadian airfield. The ambitious plan aims to provide 1,800 essential homes, 44,721 m2 of commercial and industrial spaces, in addition to community facilities and employment opportunities for local residents.
Area C of the main works comprises 8,072 m2 of light industrial units that have been erected on the north side of the 612-acre brownfield site. They feature the use of the Kingspan Insulated Panel roof and façade systems. The specified systems have a BRE Green Guide A+ rating which certifies that these products have excellent environmental performance and can help Dunsfold Park towards its aspirations of becoming Britain’s first zero-carbon settlement. Façade System Kingspan KS1000 Micro-Rib Colours Silver and Onyx. Roof System KS1000 RW Trapezoidal Roof Panels and Day-Lite Trapezoidal Rooflights.
During the planning stage, consideration was given to optimising the fabric performance of the industrial units, helping to limit their energy demand and CO2 emissions. The project team aimed to reduce the quantity of unwanted building materials being sent to landfill throughout construction and over the buildings’ lifetimes. The Kingspan Insulated Panels wall and roof systems supplied were to specified measurements resulting in very little surplus onsite. This helped support Dunsfold Park’s goals for waste reduction. The rooflights also helped to reduce artificial lighting demand and flood the warehouse with natural light to create a bright and welcoming work space.

Forest Park Recycling Centre, Newport, IOW

CLIENT / CONTRACTOR:
Trant Construction
VALUE:
£500K

This state-of-the-art recycling and waste facility centre is being built at Newport on the Isle Of Wight which includes a new mechanical treatment plant and new energy recovery facility.

Includes roof material of TATA Trisomet Mole Brown to roof and TATA single skin double sided cladding to walls in 2 different greens and white to blend in with the environment, this building when complete will be quite impressive.  We also installed a Soter Mansafe system, with the addition of access hatches, louvres and Eurobond Firemaster panels to internal sections of the building.

Just being on the Isle of Wight always poses logistical issues, together with the large scale of this project and lack of storage for such large quantities of material, this project had to be carefully monitored in regards to phasing of deliveries to ensure any logistical problems were dealt with promptly and efficiently.

Although we have worked with Trants before this is to date the largest project we have undertaken for them.

Works ongoing, more photos to follow.
